Highland
Highland sits east of San Bernardino and west of Redlands, along the foothills that lead into the San Bernardino Mountains. The 210 freeway splits the city in two, creating a noticeable contrast between West Highland's older grid and East Highland's newer master-planned hillside neighborhoods. East Highlands Ranch is the city's most recognizable single submarket, with predominantly 1980s through 1990s family homes wrapped around a community lake. Highland is uniquely split between two districts. East of City Creek the city is served by Redlands Unified School District. West of City Creek it falls under San Bernardino City Unified School District. The dividing line is meaningful for buyers and should always be verified per address.

Yaamava' Resort and Casino at San Manuel, on the north side of the city, is a major regional employer and entertainment draw. The 210 freeway provides direct access west to San Bernardino and east to Redlands and the 10.
