La Crescenta is an unincorporated Los Angeles County community of roughly 20,000 residents in the Crescenta Valley, sandwiched between the Verdugo Mountains to the south and the San Gabriel Mountains to the north. Together with adjacent Montrose, it is often referred to as La Crescenta-Montrose. Housing is dominated by mid-century single-family stock on tree-lined suburban blocks, with pockets of substantial hillside homes on the northern foothill blocks.
