Los Alamitos is a small north Orange County city framed by Cypress to the north, Rossmoor to the west, Seal Beach to the south, and Long Beach across the LA county line. The Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos occupies a large portion of the city's south end, and much of the rest is modest single-family neighborhoods on standard suburban lots. The Los Alamitos Unified School District, which also serves neighboring Rossmoor and portions of Seal Beach, is a frequent reason buyers target the area.
