Wildomar

Wildomar is a smaller southwest Riverside County city, tucked between Lake Elsinore to the north and Murrieta to the south along Interstate 15. It incorporated in 2008, but the name and the original townsite trace back to the 1880s and the California Southern Railroad. The housing stock is unusually varied for the city's size: gated golf-course homes inside Bear Creek, the citrus-grove setting of The Farm, established Windsong Valley off Clinton Keith Road, and a growing wave of newer single-family construction along Bundy Canyon. Buyers come for relative value in the southwest Riverside corridor and an easier commute reach into both the Inland Empire and north San Diego County.

Common Questions

Buying or selling in Wildomar.

What buyers and sellers ask most often about Wildomar.

  • What is The Farm and how does it work as a neighborhood?
The Farm is a master-planned community that preserves about 38 acres of working citrus groves inside the development, with roughly 600 acres of common area. HOA-managed amenities include three pools, a catch-and-release fishing pond, an amphitheater, sports courts, and trails. Residents can take a share of the citrus harvest at designated pick periods.
  • How does Wildomar compare with Murrieta on price?
Wildomar generally trades at a modest discount to Murrieta on per-square-foot price for comparable single-family product, with the gap widest outside Bear Creek and tightest inside Bear Creek and the newer tract areas. Buyers often cross-shop the two cities along the 15.
  • Is Bear Creek a separate city?
No. Bear Creek is a guard-gated community inside the city of Wildomar, but its size, golf-course layout, and HOA make it feel like a distinct address. Sales there usually reference Bear Creek by name rather than the broader Wildomar market.
  • What freeway and commute options does Wildomar have?
Interstate 15 runs through the city and provides the spine for commutes north toward Lake Elsinore, Corona, and the 91, and south toward Murrieta, Temecula, and Escondido. The Clinton Keith Road and Bundy Canyon interchanges are the city's primary on-ramps.
  • Is new construction available in Wildomar?
Yes. Several single-family tracts are active along Bundy Canyon and on the east side of the 15, with a mix of builders. New-construction inventory in Wildomar is generally priced below comparable Murrieta product.
