Orange County · Communities We Serve

Yorba Linda

Yorba Linda runs along the north county line and carries a stronger equestrian identity than almost any other Orange County city. More than 100 miles of trails are coordinated for use by hikers, bikers, and horses, with staging areas that connect directly into Chino Hills State Park. Housing skews toward larger-lot single-family construction, with hillside view homes in the eastern portions and the Eastlake Village lake community on the west side.

Common Questions

Buying or selling in Yorba Linda.

What buyers and sellers ask most often about Yorba Linda.

  • Can you actually keep a horse on the property here?
Yes, on properly zoned parcels. Many lots in the central and northern parts of the city retain equestrian zoning, and Yorba Linda's trail system is one of the few in the county designed specifically with shared equestrian use in mind. Confirm the zoning on the parcel before assuming horse-keeping is permitted.
  • What is Eastlake Village like to live in?
It is a planned community of about 2,300 homes built around a private lake on the west side. Membership in the Eastlake Village Community Association covers the clubhouse, the swim and tennis facilities, and lake activities. The lake is private to residents.
  • Is the Nixon Library a working civic anchor or just a tourist stop?
Both. The library hosts community events, school programs, and seasonal civic gatherings, and the grounds include Nixon's restored birthplace home. It functions as a real local anchor in addition to drawing out-of-area visitors.
  • How is the commute from Yorba Linda?
The 91 is the workhorse, with eastbound trips toward Riverside often the heaviest pinch point at peak. The 241 toll road handles south-county commutes, and surface routes through Anaheim Hills reach the 55 and the 5.
  • Which school district covers Yorba Linda?
Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. The district was formed by the 1989 merger of the two prior districts and operates more than 30 school sites. Yorba Linda High School opened in 2009 and sits on the east side of the city.
