For Sellers

The MUVE listing timeline

What to expect from the day you sign the listing agreement through closing day, in real-world weeks.

Week 0: Sign the listing agreement

Listing agreement, disclosures, and the prep checklist happen together. A typical listing prep period is 1 to 3 weeks before the home is ready to go live.

Weeks 1 to 3: Prep

Repairs, staging, photography. The exact timing depends on the home and the seller's availability for any work that needs doing.

Week 3: Active on market

The listing goes live in the MLS, on Zillow, Redfin, social, and through direct buyer outreach. Open houses and showings start in the first weekend.

Weeks 3 to 5: Offers

Typical Southern California listings see initial offers in the first 1 to 2 weeks on market. MUVE walks through every offer with you and recommends terms, not just price.

Weeks 5 to 8: Escrow

Once an offer is accepted, escrow runs 30 to 35 days for a typical financed buyer. Cash buyers can close in 10 to 14 days.
